Engineer, Entrepreneur, and Tech Leader. Bridging Control Systems and Data.

Now

As Co-founder and CTO at Nortech AI, I work at the intersection of conservative industrial automation and modern data architecture. I lead the company's technological development, focusing primarily on the complex challenge of integrating and extracting data directly from industrial control systems, and contextualizing it for real-world operations.

One of the tasks I have always excelled at—and enjoyed the most—is understanding, decoding, and mapping the underlying logic of complex communication protocols between machines, often with minimal available documentation. Where we previously spent weeks doing manual engineering just to figure out how two industrial systems exchanged data, modern tools have completely changed the game. By combining today's level of connectivity with AI, AI agents, and MCPs, I now solve integration challenges that were once considered nearly impossible in a fraction of the time.

In this role, I combine my domain knowledge in industrial automation with the strategic agility required to build robust tech products. I have developed solid expertise in technology leadership. Beyond managing a broad spectrum of technologies—from OT and IT to cloud and AI—I have navigated the real-world complexities of building and scaling a rapidly growing company.

My day-to-day involves making practical trade-offs in a fast-paced technological landscape—from evaluating the potential of Agentic AI to meeting strict industrial cybersecurity requirements. Making sound, strategic decisions based on facts and experience has been essential in developing Nortech AI into the company it is today.

To ensure we meet the market's strict requirements for data handling, our CEO and I are currently leading the team through the final stages of our ISO 27001 implementation.

Background

Before building Nortech, I spent a decade at Bergen Engines focusing on engine control and automation. During that time—including when we were part of the Rolls-Royce group—I developed systems for equipment health monitoring and remote power plant management. We built secure data links to monitor machine conditions and operate heavy industrial plants from afar.

Early in my career, I worked with instrumentation at Reinertsen and handled project work at Det Akademiske Kvarter here in Bergen. A proud professional milestone was receiving the Sir Henry Royce Award in 2018 for my engineering work on the Equipment Health Monitoring programme.

Projects

A lot of my time naturally goes into Nortech AI and engaging with the industry. However, I have a passion for building things and a fundamental curiosity about how things work. Because of this, I am actively developing several smaller side projects to ensure I stay sharp and professionally relevant.
